This folder contains several examples of Special Delivery projects. You can use them to get a better understanding of the capabilities of Special Delivery™ and as a way to learn how to create interactive multimedia for your own use. To launch any project, just double-click on its icon. To get a fuller understanding of how projects are created follow the instructions below.
1. Open your Special Delivery Folder and then open the Special Delivery Tutorial
Folder inside it.
2. You are now ready to run the Sample Presentation.. To run it, double
click on it. If the Special Delivery Application was not open when you
double clicked, the presentation will start by itself. If Special Delivery was already
open, the presentation will open in the layout view. To run the
presentation type Command R or click the projector icon on the right side of your
Special Delivery Window.
3. Stopping the Presentation
There are three ways to end a presentation:
–––A. Click on a “Quit” button if one is present in slide you are viewing.
–––B. Type Command Q to Quit the presentation. If you launched the
presentation from the finder, this command will also force Special
Delivery to Quit.
–––C. Type Command . (period) to enter another view of the slide, either
layout view or button view.
4. After you have run the presentation a few times, you can explore how it
is constructed by following step 3-C above, and using the layout and button
view icons to see how each slide was put together.
5. You can examine the other sample projects in this Special Delivery folder in exactly the same way.

KRT News in Motion, a joint venture of Knight Ridder and The Tribune Company, creates broadcast qualtiy animations for use by their broadcast and cable subscribers. This sampler was created using Special Delivery. It's purpose is to showcase a variety of animations to their subscribers. The demo is distributed periodically on CD-ROM. This online version is limited to two sample animations, becuase of space. The animations included are a short description of the movie Batman Forever, and a piece on Fiber Optic Cable.
Encore Images is a new art gallery in Los Gatos, California. This piece is a kiosk used by the gallery to showcase their artwork and custom framing possibilities. It is an extremely interesting use of interactive multimedia in a gallery setting.
Wine & Food Kiosk. This is an abbreviated sample of a kiosk for a Wine and Food Store produced by Video Troupe of Windham, New Hampshire. It allows you to preview recipes, select appropriate wines and is a good example of the use of multimedia for creating interersting kiosks. Because of space limitations, the excellent QuickTime™ movies which are part of the kiosk, are not available on this demo.
